Custom built at Raby Bay in Cleveland, this stunning home backs on to the canal.
Under the surface, the location meant extra attention to engineering in the design, including incorporating screw piers. By spending the time up front in design, we made sure there were no cost overruns during construction.
Above the surface, the location called for a home that captured its views. Windows were located strategically and selected for size and fit with the aesthetic. The living space is open-plan—although allowing for separation between parents and teenage children. Those open indoor spaces run out to a large deck, which levels off the slope at the back of the wedge-shaped block.
We extended the water theme with the pool, giving the home water on the side as well as at the back. Along the pool wall, we installed custom metal artwork in recesses illuminated at LED lighting to create a spectacular effect at night.
